Siri Audio is draining most of my battery! Don't know what's going on here! Hey Siri is turned off so I'm not sure what's going on.

Have you been using audio via Bluetooth? I have it appear like this when streaming music in my car.

Nope. I have Siri turned completely off now to see what happens. I also just installed the 10.1 beta so we'lll see what it does.

I've had this problem the last few days.

Up until about 3 days ago, Siri has generally shown as using 1% battery for the last 24 hours. Yesterday however, it was showing as using 46%.

After power cycling last night, the figure is slowly going down and is currently at 28% for the last 24hrs.

I haven't actually used Siri in the last 48hrs. Gonna monitor it tomorrow and see if it returns to a normal level. Otherwise, I may have to also go the route of setting up new.

I turned Siri off, and its usage dropped to around 23% then stayed there. Rather than go the nuclear route of restoring, I decided to remove all unnecessary apps, a good few of which had updated the day I started having problems, and also turn Siri back on to see if it kind of refreshed itself.

Usage has again started to drop, and is now at 15%. Hopefully, by tomorrow, it will be back to its usual 1-2%.

Just to update, Siri has now dropped off the battery usage list completely.

I will monitor to make sure it doesn't happen again but it seems that, for now at least, everything is working as it should be.

View attachment 660994 Siri Audio is draining most of my battery! Don't know what's going on here! Hey Siri is turned off so I'm not sure what's going on.

I've had the same problem (with an i7 10.2.1) twice in 2-3 months.

I don't know how to fix that... I called Apple Care but they said to me my battery It's ok and the hardware too.

I wanted to report I'm having the same issue here with an iPhone 7 plus, and iOS 11.1.2. I have managed to get the percentage to go down to 82% from 97. The only reason I knew there was an issue is because yesterday the phone had gone from a full charge to low in just a few hours sitting idle. Usually i get almost a week with my usage of the phone before it's time to charge again, give or take my usage amount of course.

I did a hard reset of the phone, and I've turned off "listen for Hey Siri" in Settings:Siri & Search. There doesn't seem to be an option to completely disable Siri that I've found in iOS 11.

I did want to mention, that my iPad Air 2 has the same configuration as the iPhone 7 plus, and does not have this issue. The only difference is the iPhone has the ability to listen for Hey siri without the need to be plugged in.

I don't generally use bluetooth to stream audio, but do use Google Cast instead as I have a couple of sound bars that support it. In fact, the only use of Bluetooth I have on those devices are to pair the Smartcast app with the sound bars to control Volume and settings from the app. there again, I don't think that's an issue as only one device lists Siri in the battery menu. I do have dictation turned on, but I don't use it all the time, and there again, it's only the iPhone with the strange problem.

If anyone has any other suggestions beyond restoring the phone, which I can do. I would appreciate it. Thanks
