Hey all,
I noticed today that on iOS 10.0.2 the iPhone 7 smart battery case prevents my iPhone from detecting my lightning EarPods when the case's battery is completely drained – which is going to be particularly troublesome on my commute home in the evening – as to listen to music I need to take the iPhone out of its case, losing all of the protection that offered. It may have been a bug present on earlier versions but I didn't notice it either way. Hopefully it is not a hardware limitation of any sort as it almost cripples the phone.
I'm guessing that the phone is not charging the case sufficiently to detect the EarPods and/or that is in turn not powering the EarPods.
Has anybody else had this issue, and has it been resolved in 10.1? (You may need to unplug and replug the phone from the dead case to replicate this, I'm not sure).
