iPhone 7 Touch ID Issues

Are there any others out there who are having problems with their Touch ID being very temperamental and not working every time or at all? I'm unsure whether it's just a defected device but Apple have ordered me a new device to be delivered in a week for free. Do I take the new phone or try to get this one fixed again? It's been through a settings reset and a full system reset by the Genius Bar.

Have you tried adding the same fingerprint more than once, done this on my 6s plus and it's always lightning quick

Just tried that and it seems to be working a lot better. May still get the new one just in case it starts to play up again

UPDATE: Got a new ip7 and the Touch ID works perfectly every time with just one scanned for my two thumbs. Seems as though my device was defective
