Anyone notice the corners / sides of the display on the iPhone 8/8 Plus are somewhat dark? I’ve see a number of them and noticed this. It’s odd, almost like a result of the True Tone display. Anyone else notice their corners and along the sides are darker or slightly distorted?

Not at all. Been through about 5 from the speaker issue and noticed this on none of them... and I am cursed with an eye (and ears) for things.
I have it and AW3 listed for sale. If I sell them I’ll likely go with Pixel 2 XL. I think the camera of the 8/X is as good as the Pixel 2 each have there S&Ws.
It truly sucks. I love the phone but the clipping is BS. I used to do astronomy apps with my boys at night. Not anymore. I’m not happy I’m paying monthly full price and Apple gets to ignore the issue.
That doesn’t sound right at all. Do you have any pictures indicating more specifically or can you capture a photo?
Not sure what are you talking about but I haven't seen any abnormal or dark corners on my 8 Plus
If it’s an issue or possible defect of the display, I wouldn’t ‘adapt’, I would contact Apple for possible a warranty replacement or have them look at it. But that’s just how I would handle it being if I paid for an iPhone to be free of defects.
No dark corners on both of the 8+ units I owned. Screens were great but moved to the X in the end.
I haven’t seen an 8 without some uniformity issue yet so I guess I am just susceptible to noticing. It’s not a big deal and knowing my luck I’d end up with a worse one if I swapped.
