iPhone 8/Plus iPhone 8 backups

I have just got the iPhone 8 but can't see where I back up a couple of apps to iCloud. One is WhatsApp and the other is Line. On my old phone SE, I would go to general, iCloud, and choose what to back up to iCloud.

Whatsapp, backup chat through the app not thru iCloud. There are two options for this, both iCloud and the actual app. Backup BOTH options. < this bit is important especially if your texts are important
LINE, im assuming you go into the app and look for the "back up" option too. I havent used this app in a long time so i can't remember this bit.

Whatsapp iCloud normally backs up the photos and **** you want the most but for the most part i think texts and those are done directly through the app , not apple's iCloud setting. So double check those

Thanks for this, but in iCloud settings on the phone WhatsApp, plus other apps, don't show up and I can't see where on the WhatsApp setting you set it to save to iCloud.

But the only ones there are the ones I see in the iCloud setting and WhatsApp and other apps aren't there.

Oh okay i see what you mean. Sorry about my initial post.

1) Go to top [apple id] > iCloud > Manage Storage in the [storage section]
You should see a whatsapp messenger & backup there. if it has some MB that means its backup there on ur icloud.

2) in the iCloud section after clicking your apple ID whatsapp should be at the far bottom. toggle it on...
as for mine i see stuff like Camera+, dropbox, linkedin, uber, whatsapp above the [look me up/share my location/mail] section.
