I have a brand new iPhone 8, i recently updated to 11.3 the day it came out so my iPhone has had the update on it for a couple of days. My phone was on 48% battery last night and when i woke up it was completely drained and the phone was dead, i even had it on airplane mode. This has never happened before, not even on 11.2.x. Has this happened to anyone else? Also when i checked my battery health it went from 99 to 98% (i’m pretty sure this is normal so i am not too worried about this)

Hmmm, sounds like you had a rogue app running chewing up your battery life. Did you look and see what was topping the list on battery usage over the last 24 hours?

For myself it's probably too early to tell for sure, but I feel like my battery life has actually improved a fair bit with iOS 11.3.

It -could- have been behind the scenes housekeeping the OS was doing after the update. Maybe indexing or something. Any time you update the OS, (I think you should) either leave it plugged in over night or turn it off overnight for the first day.

That extreme battery draw probably won't happen again.

Surprisingly, the app store was at the top of the list and it says “Audio” under it.

Iphone 6S and battery at 59 percent at end of night was at 8 percent the xt morning. Nothing like this happened to me before.

the iPhone 8 battery is too small for to utilize the a11 bionic, the apple store told me it draws too much power
