Hello,

sometimes the display of my iPhone 8 plus will not turn off and remains fully lighted. Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Once I restarted the iPhone, the problem went away and then after a few days has come back again.

Could be a software or an hardware issue?

Thanks,
daniele

Hi,

I and others have had that issue as well. It came after last update.
There is a thread about it on the Apple forums.

What you can do and see if it works are these two things-

1. Go to General and Reset All Settings (this will reset all settings to how they were originally, and can be a pain if you (like I) change a number of things... Mostly I turn off Apple Music and some privacy items.

2. This one won't reset all your settings and can work too. Do a Hard Reset of the iPhone. They changed the way you do it with the 8 and 8Plus. Tap the Up Volume button once, then the Down button once, and then Press and hold the power button till you see the Apple logo.

For now, mine and my wife's no longer have the screen not turning off issue. Will see it if stays that way. At the very least, Apple knows about it.

Hope this helps.

:)

Hello,
I have updated to iOS 11.1 hoping that the problem had been solved but from time to time it happens.

Has anyone the same issue, is there a solution?

Thanks,
Daniele
