Hi,
Recently i swapped battery in my ip8, did it couple times before and it was all good. Right now it doesnt show the battery health and always shows low percentage. I tried to go back to previous battery but the problem keeps appearing.

Then i saw that isolation underneath the battery, responsible for wireless charging, is little ripped (attachment).
I used insulating tape on that and it worked for some time, now it doesnt. Can it be the problem? Any ideas, solutions?

Thanks in advance

In short, this is one of Apple's harsh moves against Right to Repair. Unless you use authorized parts made specifically by Apple (which in turn are bought by AASPs), the device will not use the full potential of those parts. This is somewhat out of safety concerns, but also to maximise profits in the company. (example, if you try to use unofficial laser parts, Face ID won't work. also, unofficial cameras reportedly don't work despite there being no safety risk involved)

I don't believe a solution to reinstate the full function of unofficial parts has been found. Otherwise, tech youtubers wouldn't keep complaining about it, and my two cents is that they're right to do so. But, this isn't the place to yell about R2R. All this is, is a software lockout.
