Hi,

I just got my iPhone 8 in the mail. I am having an issue with Microsoft Exchange working with my e-mail that is already set up with my iPad. I log in successfully but when I try to refresh the server, I get server cannot connect. Is anyone else having the same issue?

It's a known issue and Apple is working on it.

You should not have any problem if you use the Outlook app for iOS in the meantime.

Ah. Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention.

And just to be clear: its an iOS 11 issue, not an iPhone 8 issue.

Yes, good point. It’s interesting though. I updated my iPhone 6S to iOS 11, and did not experience the exchange problem that Apple is describing. My Exchange accounts are working normally.

I was concerned because I have an iPad Pro on iOS 11 with the same e-mail and have no problems. It is just my new iPhone 8. I am guessing the issue described above is hit or miss. So I will not worry until they push and update specifically addressing this problem.

That sounds good. Also, if you have not tried the Outlook app for iOS, you might want to give it a try. I have it and it’s actually very good.

Appreciate the suggestion. However, I have a personal gmail account and I prefer using the iOS Mail app to combine everything together. Its not a huge deal. Still a bummer though.
