I switch from iPhone 6S+ to the 8+ very happy, yesterday I had a cut on my thumb so i put a band aid on it,
Find out that I can't use the home button, no respond. but it do work on my 6S+.
just wonder how doctors with rubber gloves using it?

So the doctor uses rubber/latex gloves to protect his hands and fingers from goop, germs, bodily fluids, etc.
and then proceeds to use his phone and Touch ID with said rubber/latex gloves still on exposing his/her phone to said goop, etc.

I find that scenario highly unlikely

As for a bandaid on your thumb, set up a few different fingers to use

Use a different finger. It needs to be conductive to sense your finger.
Maybe there is a market for a new type of Band-Aid?

Or go back to your iPhone 6S+

But does it work with a band aid? I'm guessing not.

You are right just tried it with band aid it doesn't , but with my leather gloves this morning it did

It needs to feel skin, which can be felt through thin plastic gloves, or have those gloves with the fingertips that work on screens.

I cleaned the snow this morning and my leather gloves were able to work

I haven't tested latex or nitrile gloves, but the iPhone 7 home button, including the fingerprint scanner, do work through a freezer-weight plastic bag.

If you are not using TouchID it does not matter if you wear gloves or have 10 band aids on your finger, you a just pushing a button.

People will complain about anything. Put down the phone and enjoy life. There’s a whole world out there waiting for you to explore it!

The home button works with Nitrile gloves as does the screen etc..

They wont see it if you post it here. Send them an official feedback and hope for the best

I believe that Apple read every post here, not sure if you send them a letter that they will open it at all.

As Chazzle said, Apple doesn’t read opinionated posts on a rumored website. Also, the fact is Apple has a policy in place where employees are prohibited from even participating/frequenting on sites like this.
