Iphone 8 is locked up at the apple screen...

it won't take a force reboot. If i do the force, it will go black for 3 seconds then come back up with the apple logo... any experience on what i can do?

What happened to your phone in the days leading up to this problem? Was it dropped or repaired or came into contact with water?

I just left Verizon store. Home button is stuck. Phone thinks it's off but the screen is on. Only thing they said was take it to the Apple Store

That is weird as the home button on the 8 is not a real button. If you are close to an Apple store having them look at it might not be a bad idea.

went to the apple store and we tried to download the itunes again, then the restore and it still wouldn't take, so they replaced the phone on the spot...
