Hello.. I am looking to get a 8 plus (no contract, paid in full). Looks like all the current deals (bestbuy, Wal-Mart, Target) require signing up for a 2 year contract. Are there any other deals which will save me some money if I am going to pay in full?

Or is there no point in waiting and I should just buy it from the Apple store today?

I have the same question. Everything I have found is on contract only. I will just buy from Apple if there won't be any deals without a carrier contract.

It’s not really a contract, it’s a payment plan. Can’t you just pay off the phone at your carrier?

Exactly. Why do so many people have trouble with this concept.

Okay, my brother does - and he has been on the same carrier for 10 years and has not plans to change now. Just does not want to sign with them.

Somebody explain it to me.

So explain to me how this would work with Verizon prepaid? I do not want to sign up for a postpaid plan.

In my case, I traded in my 6 last year for the $650 credit on my 7+ which is split into 24 monthly credits. If I sign up for a new payment plan, I either need to return my 7+ or buy it out and loose the remaining credits.

I have a similar question. For non-installment, no strings attached unlocked iPhones, what sort of Black Friday deals can we expect. I mean, in the past few years, did Apple offer any Black Friday deals on unlocked full priced iPhones?

Payments or not... you still pay full price at some point.

Put the math on paper over the next year or two.

True statement ...
However, for some of us paying it upfront won't force us into a new contract and thus lose any grandfathered/discounted plans.

Does Apple have any iPhone deals on full priced/non-contract phones, for Black Friday?
