Do any body know what has happened? a few months ago I heard something about a law that the US was going to lunch about not allowing companies to lock the phones that they sell, I'm currently outside of the country, I was using an Rsim (because the iPhone is locked to att) but today I tried it without the Rsim and its like it has been factory unlocked!!

It's quite common that the phone never was locked, even though it was bought on a contract
NO, I was actually trying before with only the SIM card and the message always appeared "no sim card supported" I'm trying this in a 3rd iPhone with the same situation (locked to att) and its working as if it would have been factory unlocked!
