Hello,

Please let me know if anyone of you encounter the same as my problem with 8 plus. I was using my phone watching videos while I have my mobile data, after a few minutes it was already blackout or shut down then I just noticed that the back of my phone starting to get hot. I don't know whats the cause or the problem. Please help me. Thank you.

It could be a one time thing? Or is this something that happens frequently?

If it’s one off then you might be in a poor coverage area which means the radios in your device was trying extra hard to hold on to strong network because you were streaming video content. The phone heated up because of that and shut itself off to protect you and it from burning.

If it’s a regular occurrence then take it to Apple store.

Sounds like thermal shutdown. What content provider and video were you watching?
