Good day guys,

Is anyone here with an iPhone 8+ experiencing a dim screen when using device outside?

Side notes: I am using a privacy screen protector on my device, Although my screen brightness is set to the max, my screen is still very dim when I’m outside. Do you guys think that this is a bug or is it because of my screen protector? Also, I wear prescription transition lenses in my glasses.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your response guys. I appreciate your insight regarding my issue. I figured it was the screen protector causing that since it’s like having my screen tinted. I do enjoy the piece of mind knowing that my screen is currently privatized but it looks like I will have to part ways with it if I want to reap the benefits of better screen resolution.

If you want privacy, just dim your screen manually using a PowerSupport Crystal screen.

Do you think that the privacy work around that you mentioned would be equivalent to having a privacy screen protector on the device? Considering that screen visibility would reduce to 0 when looking at the device from 30-60 degree angles, around the screen of the device? Thanks

It is. I use that method. Only viewing the screen by being directly infront of it yields a good look.

Sounds great, I’m going to try it out right now. Are these settings available under display? Or do I search for PowerSupport or Crystal screen inside settings app? Thanks again
