What's going on here? Even after multiple re-registers of fingerprints I am now running into constant failures to identify the fingerprint. I can not reproduce this on a galaxy s7 in any similar manner.

ios 11.2 beta 4

CLARIFICATION: I am not asking for people who's touchid is working to state that their touchid is working. Ergo I am not implying that every single iphone 8 is having this problem.

im not asking if other people's iphones are working. im saying i have a real issue and need someone to comment if they have a similar issue

If you’ve tried setting up multiple times then there might as well be a hardware issue. Have you tried setting up the same finger in multiple slots?

it seems like there is some sort of over-sensitivity to even the slightest amount of normal sweat.

also yes, I registered my main finger twice but it was still acting up

Are you obese like Peter Griffin by any chance? Your fingers might be producing an unusual amount of perspiration which could be affecting the scanner.

Make sure to clean off the sensor every now and then. Do you have oily fingers? Do you use some kind of lotion/moisturizer? All of those combined with sweat will cause issues. I might be “lucky” since my skin is relatively dry. (Really sucks when it gets cold though)

Bros my hands are no different than any other normal human and that sort of variance is likely accounted for during technical engineering of the hardware
