Hey guys,

I'm getting an activation message saying AT&T does not provide coverage for 67401 AKA central Kansas, right by Wichita KS. This is untrue, as many people here have iPhones operating under AT&T.

When iTunes asks me where I will primarily use my iPhone, can I give my brother's address in Seattle WA as the "Primary use of iPhone location" and keep billing here? Do you guys see any problems with this?

URGH! This is kind of ticking me off.

Setup YOUR info or you will have more problems. Just call them or try another local zip code.

OMFG...sorry for my language.

I've been on the phone for 5 hours now with Apple & ATT. ATT has good service, very polite, but every time they give me advice, I hang up and try to make the phone work. No good.

I even had 3 way conference call with a supervisor and tech support, they told me my SIM card was receiving too weak of a signal. I take my Macbook outside with wireless internet and try to activate the phone outside in the open. No luck.

Next, Apple support tells me the signal to the phone doesn't matter. iTunes should still accept my activation application regardless of the signal.

I also asked Apple if they think my card SIM is defective. They said probably not.

67401 has excellent ATT coverage in town according to ATT.com map. Also- within 300 miles + of my location, there is partner network aka Cingular, so there is no doubt about coverage.

Any ideas?

Also- there is an ATT shop 1 hr away from me. If I can't get it working, maybe they can get it working? Anyone have any such experiences?
