I ordered two phones via Att. (Usually I order via Apple) and the two phones are attached to two phones lines. The phones will not be activated going forward. Will the phones activate when I turn them on...and thereby disconnect the current phones? Usually that happens when I turn on new phones I get from Apple...but the Att stores says i can just use them on WiFi and that the activation is a different step via the website. Is this true? Thanks!

Truly would appreciate an answer before stores close for Christmas and I won’t be able to get replacement SIM cards.

They come pre-activated so when you turn it on and activate the sim card it comes with, then your old ones in the phone deactivates.

Even from Att? That’s what I was afraid of.

So, if this happens can I just put the sim into my phone instead...if that phone activated on my line? The both have the same size SIM card.
