Alright, well here's my problem..

A couple days ago my alarm on my phone stopped making noise when it went off. It has worked perfect since the day I got the phone, but now all it does when the alarm goes off is display a popup box (like the kind new texts bring up when your phone is locked or you are using an application) saying "Alarm" with a snooze option. No sound what-so-ever. I remember when it played the alarm sound it had two options "stop" and "snooze", now just "snooze". Does any body else have this problem? If so, how did you fix it..I have to rely on my old clock now and I hate doing that.

Also, ever since this alarm thing has been happening I've had several people tell me that when they try to call me it just goes straight to voice mail. Now usually I would chalk it up to lack of service.. but when I ask when they called I was at work with full service (EDGE, 3G is VERY low at my office). Anyone having this problem as well?

I'm hoping the September update will fix both problems, but I really don't want to wait for another update..

Did you restore (not from a backup)?

No, the thought had crossed my mind but I didn't want to lose any data. Now, I'm new to the iPhone so please correct me if I am wrong, after I restore my iPhone I will be able to sync all my contacts, email accounts, pictures, and applications. I have them all backed up. This may be a stupid question, but I would rather be safe then sorry..
