My SE arrives tomorrow and I would like to be able to customize the alarm system a bit. So a couple of questions come to mind.

1. Is it possible to set the length of time it sounds for? I like to wake to music and was hoping for about ten minutes of play before it turns itself off.

2. Can pandora be set to come on at the appointed alarm time? When I had my 6s and 7 I read that pandora could be set but the phone screen needed to be on constantly all nite to allow it to work, not something I wanted to do. Is this still the case?

if not possible are there any good work arounds such as third party alarm clock apps that would have these features?
I have music I could wake up to on the SE instead of pandora but with pandora I never have to mess with it and it plays a variety each morning, always different.
Needless to say on my pixel these features are standard with the oem alarm. I’d like to give iPhone another try and the SE a shot and if I can get this solved that’d be nice.

I believe the alarm will sound forever until you turn it off when using the iOS clock app. If not forever, too long anyway.

I believe you can set the alarm to play music from a music file you own in your Music App/iTunes Library on the phone but you can't set the alarm to play streamed music off the internet.

The only good thing about the iOS Clock app alarm is that it will work in the background. Set it & it will always work even if the clock app is forced to quit.
No other 3rd party app is allowed to do that
