Does anyone know how long the built-in iPhone Alarm Clock sounds before automatically shutting off? Is this configurable? Right now it seems to go on forever unless I press a button. I would prefer to have it sound for 15 seconds and then stop annoying me.

Thanks!

Most alarm clocks go off for the entire minute that the alarm was set for. If you don't want it to do this then don't set it or hit the snooze.

The iPhone alarm will go continuously by default, so I'm looking to change that default to something other than forever....preferably without having to touch the phone. I don't want to have to snooze it or touch any buttons.

Thx

Perhaps I'm stating the obvious, but if you want an alarm that goes off just once and doesn't make any more sounds, why not set it in the calendar (which behaves this way by default) and not the alarm clock?

Your other major option would be to find an app store or jailbreak alarm clock application that does what you want. There's no way to change the behavior of the clock in this regard in firmware 2.x... at any rate.
