I have 2 Email Servers in the Apple Mail Client on my Mac (gmail.com and iCloud.com) but if i'm in the iCloud.com account on my iPhone . where I also use the Apple Mail Client. I don't get alerted or notified of gmails arriving. Does anyone know why.

I thought that may be the Answer. In fact I was thinking of using their gmail app when the new upgrade comes to iOS but at the moment what puts me off is there is only one alert an its very quiet to me. So what I'm trying at the moment is Airmail

Google has disabled push for the apple mail client. Its their way of forcing you to use their gmail or inbox app.
I always wondered why this did not work!
Thank you for clearing it up. That is so dumb, and maybe if they want me to use their app they should update it to fit the iPad Pro screen so it doesn't look like a POS.
