Has anyone done the switch from an iPhone to a Blackberry Storm or Storm 2.

Are you happy first off, also how does the new Sync software from RIM work.

I am the only one in my family on AT&T and I need to go back to Verizon so we are all on the same network, the monthly bill between the two services is way too much.

I love my iPhone and AT&T works perfectly for me, but the other 4 family members are on Verizon and if I have to make the switch I am curious what everyone else is doing, and trust me this is not going to be easy...It is a Sad Month for me and my iPhone....

I went last week out of curiosity to a Verizon store to check out their 2 best phones (Motorola Droid and Blackberry Storm 2). To be honest, they both felt and looked great! If you are going to switch to Verizon then the closest you are going to get to getting a iPhone experience is definitely the Motorola Droid.

That is my recommendation:)

This.

I would definitely stay away from Blackberry if you're used to the iPhone. It's like going from a PS3 to a notebook with a hand drawn Tic-Tac-Toe grid.

my advice

go to the Verizon store try several models BB and Droid etc try the features you use most then when you find the ones that meets your needs best, and if you can live with it then there ya go you found your new phone! ;)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

I would not go bb unless you will have it hooked up to a BES. Bb for home use doesn't make much sense.

droid is probably your best bet, esp if you use a lot of google apps. If not then android loses some of its lustor, but it might still be your best bet. Vzw just doesn't have great phones.

Oh, and as long as you're looking at android, look at the droid eris, too. It's not as powerful as the droid, but I like the look and feel much better.

+1 for the Droid. I checked it out at a Verizon store and the screen is awesome--better than the iPhone. Not a fan of the case design, but you'll definitely turn heads with it--especially from curious iPhone users.

Droid baby! The Blackberrys are cool (I have a Bold), but the only thing that riles my underpants is the lack of a true IMAP client.

+ another for the Droid. I have never owned an iPhone so I can't really compare, but I do have an iPod Touch and the Droid compares very favorably. I live in an area where the iPhone has never been available so it is nice to finally have a good alternative like the Droid.
