My brain seems to be out to lunch on this one. I have an iPhone 15 Pro and also a HomePod - the big one. I am trying to listen to music with my headphones. That works. OK, now the wife is grading papers and frequently asks siri on the home pod (I have no idea why she doesn't do that on her macbook, but then again...) when she asks Siri, then it disrupts my music, the answer shows up on my iphone. How do I stop this other than leaving the house, or turning off the phone. We have been married 47 years so I know when to hold em and when to fold em. When she is on campus, I listen to music on the homepod.

If you have the HomePod setup so that anyone can use Siri or those you have invited, (as in Family) what you experienced will keep happening unless you kindly ask the wife not to evoke Siri while you are listening to music, or you change the Siri settings to only respond to you when you want to listen to music etc. and you would have to change the setting back when you aren’t listening to music. That is the only way I know of. Maybe someone else has a better idea.

Not sure if this helps, but if you are not using the phone, put it face down so Siri won’t pick up and you can continue listening to your music. Of course, this suggestion is no good if you are actually looking at the phone at the same time.
