Hey guys,

Background Information: I have a lot of pictures. All of them are on my iPhone, imported through iPhoto on my Macbook.

A few days ago, my Macbook's hard drive failed--simply up and quit on me. I brought it to the G-Bar and the Genius said after an hour and a half of tinkering with it that he could not retrieve anything off the hard drive. Which means all those pictures on iPhoto are gone. But they're still on my iPhone.

I come to you, MacRumors community, with the following question: Is there any way I can get those imported pictures on my iPhone back into iPhoto? I know I can use iPhoto to import Camera Roll photos onto my Macbook, and I can use DiskAid to do the same, but DiskAid cannot retrieve my iPhoto-to-iPhone imported pictures.

Thanks very much!

they should be here:

/private/var/root/Media/DCIM/100APPLE

(or atleast they were on mine) :)

Can you tell me how to get to that? I can't access the root folder, and whenever I go into Media/DCIM/100APPLE, those are just the pictures on my Camera Roll.
