Does anyone know if you can use the iphone with the ipod docking solutions such as the speaker systems, and alarm clock? Is the docking port on the iphone the same as the one found on the ipods?

I have one of those speaker systems where you dock your iPod and it plays whatever is on it through the speakers. When you dock the iPhone on it, a message pops up saying that the device is not compatible with iPhone, but it can still play music. The problem is, after a minute, you get horrible radio interference coming through the speakers. If you put the iPhone in airplane mode, it works fine with no interference, but then you can't receive calls.

That's good. The connector is probably the same. It makes sense that there would be cellular interference. Thanks for the info.

Works good in its dock lined out to surround sound, however make sure to turn the volume down if you use it as an alarm. And don't leave pointy objects by your bed Those nutcracker don't lie about there name
