iphone and mobileme sync issue

when i create a to-do item on my mac calendar application it does not sync to mobileme, but when i create to-dos on mobileme they automatically sync to my computer calendar. is this supposed to happen? when i manually sync in the mobileme preferences it tells me there is a discrepancy with my calendars and wants to use the mobileme calendar and delete the to-do i made in my calendar app.

also none of the apps sync to my iphone.

When you do anything on your Mac it will not push. You have to wait for the next sync. Check your sys prefs to see what your mobileme sync is set to.
