hello, i am on my trial for mobile me.. it works great so far and i plan on purchasing the 1 year subscription. my only issue is that if i get an email, view it on my mbp, my iphone will still show there is a new email until i actually open up my inbox. is this how the system is supposed to work? i thought that it should mark the message as read since its been viewed on my mbp. can someone please clarify? thanks in advance!

You are syncing MobileMe and the iPhone. Unless you DELETE it from the MobileMe cloud prior to a sync with the iPhone, it will be pushed to the iPhone as NEW to the iPhone.

thanks for the clarification but i think i am still confused. if i get an email and i see it on my iphone and my mbp, i view it on my mbp so its marked as read. even an hour later my phone will show 1 new mail. shouldnt the cloud tell the phone that its been read? thanks.

This is normal although I share your frustration. For some reason, the new mail is pushed but when the email is read someplace other than the phone, it still shows as new mail until you open the app.

Hopefully this is something that is updated in the future.

Normal behavior, and I agree with you... I would be nice to get a "push cancellation".

Yeah, i share your frustration.

It works the other way round though, if you read the email on your iPhone, it is marked as read on your Mac
