I want to use my iPhone within my car as it should be used, ipod player and make/receive calls.
I've checked the market out and the two best UK solutions appear to be:

http://www.my-io.com/Products/iOPLAY.aspx
and
http://www.parrot.com/uk/products/hands-free-car-kits/parrot-mk6100
What shocked me about the first gen iPhone at least is that the bluetooth we have isn't full bluetooth and is only good for pairing devices for phone calls alone, we cant stream music like cheaper phones and we cant send photos, etc...So, with the two listed links we hace to fit a bluetooth dongle which comes with the kit. Unsightly and not very appropriate but for my purposes of keeping it neat in the 'cock pit' it would do. Except with the io Play version once the dongle is connected you cant charge your phone at the same time!!
So at some time after using the devive you'll hace to be bluetooth-less to charge back -up!!
The Parrott system has a mini usb 'out' which i'm told CAN charge your phone at the same time but at Halfords today we went through 3 different chargers and it wouldn't work.
I wondered if anyone has any suggestions on charging these, using these, iPhone updates to make it fully b/tooth compliant etc etc any thing, other methods / brands out there - Thanks
