iPhone 8/Plus iPhone Apple Refurbs are crap !

hi Guys,

I bought an Apple refurbished 7 earlier a month ago and returned it.. its display was too warm for my taste.. brightness was also on the lower side

Now i got an iPhone 8 refurbished from apple store and guess what.. that sucker has the same problem.

I compared the refurb models i bought with in-store Iphones on display and they had better brightness and had slightly cooler color pallete according to my preference.. warmer/yellow displays induces sleep in me and display looks little dull too with content..

What you guys think ?

Did you try changing the color and/or brightness first? You know you can change the color palette, right?

Just because they do not suit your personal taste for color temperature does not mean all refurbs suck.

Sounds like an blanket statement which to me is unjustified. Plenty buy refurbs exclusively and have absolutely no complaints. You strike me as someone who would most likely find a problem with the screen of a brand new iPhone also..

I’m thinking a letter campaign to Tim Cook or a boycott of all Apple products will teach them how serious it is. This is a almost a billion dollar company, and they should make it the way I want it, or else.

Apple will be fine if the OP finds a better device from another manufacturer.. Choices are a wonderful thing. Screen color is a personal opinion, some like it warmer and some like it cool.

I like iOS a lot and rest everything is fine with refurbs i bought.. Its just that screen is too much warmer/yellow and its dull too.

I called Apple Care to escalate it and they said that they ensure uniformity of screens in same iphone models. I can rightfully say its clearly not the case.

I dont like the hassle of returning and swapping the phone many times just to get a perfect phone.

True tone and night shift are off.. Yes,I did change the color settings in Accessibility Options.. It didnt help much, It alters in a very bad way that cant be explained.

Keep in mind, Apples displays have progressively become warmer in tone over the last few generations of iPhones. They are not nearly as Stark as the iPhone 6/6S was. And I can say owning an iPhone 8 Plus for my work phone, it certainly has a warmer tone to it then my iPhone 7 Plus and 6S Plus had. It Doesn’t necessarily mean your phone was defective, perhaps you’re just not accustomed to the variances of display changes.
