A fair number of iPhone application updates are now appearing in iTunes. The update process is very smooth and quick:

- From iTunes, click the "Applications" link in the Library area.
- Click the "Check for Updates link" in the lower right corner of the page. If there are any updates for applications you have downloaded they will appear with the option to update individually or all at once.

Thanks for the heads up .. hadn't realised you had to check updates manually.

Had several listed in the store updates but iPhone only picked up and installed 1 !?

I think these must have been pre-release updates as BoxOffice has had one and hasn't been updated yet.

Is anyone getting the updated MobileNews in their updates? I know 1.1 is out and i'm still running 1.0 since it says theres no new update.

The updates are messed up. Tonight I had 5 apps that supposedly had updates, but some of the updates it offered were actually just the original versions. For example my own app was one of them...the current version is 1.0 and the "update" it offered me was also 1.0. I do have a version 1.05 under review by Apple but that was not the update it gave me.

Yes I have noticed that as well. I check the version number of both apps and they are the same. I got a facebook update today and i was very excited, thinking perhaps they added a wall. Of course, the update was not real (and if it was then i missed something). Hopefully Apple will get this under control.
