iPhone iPhone as a WIFI dongle

Hi guys,

Was wondering if there is any way to make the iPhone to work as if it was a WIFI dongle just like Android allows.

What I want is to connect my iPhone to my PC via USB cable, connect the iPhone to a WIFI network near me and share that WIFI network to my PC via the USB cable, not sure if I made myself clear

Why not just buy a dongle? price is like 10 dollars.

Just wondering if it was possible as for sure it's not a hardware limitation as Android does this natively.

It might be handy if I don't have the USB dongle with me
