iPhone attached to iMac C2D, JBL Creatures now have popping sound every 5 minutes

I've had my C2D iMac since the fall. It's had JBL Creature Speaker attached since day one. Never had a pop.

I now attached my new iPHone (yeah!) and every 5 minutes I get a popping sound.

Any one else? Should I be worried?

This is a widespread issue with Mac OS X 10.4.10, it has nothing to do with the iPhone other than the fact that 10.4.10 is required to run iTunes 7.3 and therefor activate the iPhone. The issue affects more than just iMacs; it's been reported in MacBook Pros as well.

(I personally haven't had any problems).

It has nothing to do with 10.4.10, it's the phone.
