IPhone backlight sometimes failing to light?

I recently got the new 3g s and have found that about 10-15 times since I have got it the backlight has failed to light so i have had to lock and unlock it is this common or should I get a replacement while I can? Thanks for helping!

Mine does the same thing. I have an apt. wed. to get it exchanged for that reason and others. You should do the same.

it has nothing to do with the phone....it's a bug in the software and its been discussed in these forums about 1247 times.
