So i got iPhone xs 512GB (old) and iPhone 12Pro Max 512GB (new one), on xs i have 300GB free space. i made backup on my mac and next day when i checked my backup was 1.02TB, i can not restore this backup in new iPhone. ok i delete this backup, made new one but same 1TB. how can 200GB info on iPhone convert in 1TB?

Multiple backup copies?

By the way, how do you establish that the backup is 1.02TB?
Everything suggests that this is simply not possible. iPhone and iPads backups are typically smaller than the data used on the device as things such as Apps are not backed up (Only their data).

1 backup only. Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ in Backup folder there is only 1 folder and it means only 1 iphone has been backuped and the size of this folder is 1TB. i work on iphone service 9 years and have not seen this kind of thing

I apologise for appearing incredulous about this, but what is the size of your disk If 1TB is taken by this folder alone?

In any case, I have just checked on my Mac and indeed all of my backups a considerably smaller than the actual size used on the device, so I can’t explain what is happening to you.
