Upstate NY . Was FL.
I have two backups for iPhone in iCloud. One is from the iPhone 13 and one from an iPhone 12. The iPhone 13 is only 3GB and the 12 is 34GB in size. How can I found out what they each contain? I’m surprised of the big discrepancy in their sizes considering their about two weeks apart in date. Cheers.

You can see what the backup contains and the size for each app by going to Settings > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups > and then tap the backup for which you'd like to see the detail. You can tap Show All Apps to see everything.

It appears you're looking at the iPhone backup while on your iPad. Try viewing the detail for the device you're on to see if that works.
Indeed. I don’t currently have an iPhone. When setting up the iPad it allowed me to restore a backup from an iPhone 12 or 13.

I think I may have worked it out. The reason why my backups are smaller on the later backups is because for the larger backup I wasn’t using iCloud photos. Does that make sense ? I don’t know lol. With the iPhone 13 i enabled the iCloud photos switch which wasn’t enabled prior when using the 12.
