Thinking about doing a restore on my iphone to see if that fixes my 3g reception problems. If I restore from a backup, will my apps come back with all of their data, or will I lose all of the data I have in my apps?

Yes, as long as you backup before hand and DO NOT setup as a new phone when you restore. The only exception is if your jailbroken. You lose those settings.
