I've got a 2g unlocked. Nothing installed but the sinful MMS package (but it did this before I installed it anyways).

Maybe once or twice every week or two the battery will drain rather quickly during the day. It'll last from 8am - 6pm off a full nights charge. So once it dies, I'll try to turn it back on but it remains dead. As soon as i plug it in, it turns on as usual but then reads 50% battery. The remaining "50%" then takes about an hour to drain to zero again.

The battery has been calibrated and most days it works perfectly fine (2-3 days per charge)

I think I've noticed that this happens on a day where I might use the phone a little more than average, but definitely not enough to make this drastic change.

Any ideas?

Hopefully this isnt the problem.

nah, don't think so

Although you now have me paranoid, I dont think thats the case. That hack was fixed with 3.1.2 and i never got that message anyways.

But... It does run warmer and sometimes make a buzzing sound during calls. I think it is related to some background process getting stuck running randomly.

lol, No-one has hacked your phone.

If you've had the phone for more than 2 years, your battery is probably about to die.

You may want to see apple or an Authorized Apple Repairer to get the Battery changed.

Also, if a buzzing noise is coming from your speaker, a Flex Cable May be damaged.
I recommend that you seek professional help, as Software isn't the cause of these issues.

You're insulting and oblivious to the facts. You have no idea whats out there apparently. You personally probably dont have to be concerned about these issues. But anyone in law enforcement has to be. You seem extremely naive to the fact that this can be done by blutooth, wifi, direct contact, and by other peoples cell phones that are on your contact list that are affected. Most dont know that if you read the wrong txt thats all it takes. Apple needs to address this asap and people like you need to be more aware.
