I am getting very frustrated with my unhacked, 1.1.1 fimware iPhone's battery. With 1.0.2 I had no issues. Over the past two weeks, however, I have noticed the battery discharging extremely quickly, even when the phone is on standby. On several occasions I have hit the home button to wake up the phone only to find it completely discharged and unusable, with the battery warning screen.

A couple of other things I have noticed: sometimes the blue "play" icon appears next to the battery icon, even though the ipod is not playing. I have seen this issue mentioned in other forums. And today, I took my phone off the charging dock at 8 am (fully charged) and didn't use it until noon, when I turned it on to see the battery 1/4 drained. I checked the usage stats and they said: Usage-- 4 hours and Standby--4 hours... what's going on here? Anybody else having these issues?

It's really disappointing. It's getting to the point where I can't trust this thing as my phone, because I'm never sure if when I hit the home button there'll be any juice left, or if people are trying to call me and not getting through because of this.

I've found if I put my phone to sleep on the mail screen it will drain the battery even when asleep. If I go back to the home screen before putting to sleep, everything is peachy.

Might help you.

Same thing was happening with my battery it could not keep a full charge for more than 6 to 8 hours, and the phone would get so hot so I checked all the iphone forums I go to and I did everything: a soft reset, a hard reset, re-install firmware turn this off wait, turn this on wait I was at my ends and it sucked because until 2 weeks ago my phone was perfect.

To make a long story short this is what was going on every 2 minutes my phone would just wake up out of the blue a small pop up would give me a warning (this device is not made to work bla bla bla) then the pop up would go away and leave my phone on. Also I was not able to turn my phone off every time that I would try to turn it off it would restart by itself. I took it 2 times to the apple store 1st visit they told me to back up all my info and do a hard reset that didn't work. 2nd visit they finally saw that I was not crazy and that my phone was acting up they told me to come back in 2 days for a replacement and wouldn't you know after that 2nd visit my old phone started to work perfect again battery was not draining, I was able to turn it off, and no crazy Usage and Standby times I thought to myself "I must of done something and now its fine" but no my happiness only lasted for 2 days and so now I find myself sitting in front of my NEW iPhone that I picked up today. It was kinda hard to let go of my old phone I got very attached to it waited in line for 7 hours on D-Day but oh well that's technology for you.
My advise take it to the apple store tell them whats been going on.

sorry for the long post.
