Does anyone know how Apple calculates battery life? It's clearly not a linear algorithm unlike Android/Windows given how 100% lasts for ages whereas 10% means your phone's going to shut down within an hour or less.

It's based on the current power demands, which flucuate wildly, depending on what you have running at any given point in time, Bluetooth, wi-fi, cellular, etc.
