I have an iPhone 12 for almost 6 months now, the battery capacity is 100%. There are times when I unplugged him from the charger after he was there for a lot of time and he is 100% and I start to use him and after less than 25 minuets the battery’ Percentages are 97% or something.. Is it normal?

Also, it is going to sound weird and please don’t make a joke from me, I have kind of obsession with the battery’s percentages and I have that they will be more than 95% all the time so the iPhone most of the time in the charger.. Can it make him dependent on the charger and ruin the iPhone?

Sorry about my English, not my first language...

You should allow yourself to be comfortable with the battery percentage declining over the course of a day as you use the phone, it is normal and what they are designed to do.

The iPhone itself will never be damaged by keeping it on the charger for any particular amount of time. The battery life will be influenced by how you use the phone and charger, but if you are keeping the phone on the charger most of the time then effectively you are not taking advantage of having a portable battery powered device anyway! Batteries can always be replaced anyway, if you keep your phone for long enough to get to that point (at least 2-3 years, normally). Modern batteries don't have the 'memory' characteristics that were present a few years ago with earlier technology batteries.

My advice is to just relax and use your phone, put it on the charger when that is convenient, and when you are away from the charger and want to have the phone with you, don't worry about it, just enjoy the iPhone!

Depends on what you are doing with your phone but I wouldn’t worry about a 3% drop in charge after 25 minutes or so of use.

Best thing is to use your phone and not worry too much about the %. You can always replace the battery at a later date if necessary. Most likely by then you would have upgraded to a new phone anyway.

The phone can't get dependent on the charger. It is fine if the battery gets down to 40% during the day. That doesn't hurt the battery. What does hurt the battery, is if it drains completely all the time.

The battery meter will be less accurate as the battery ages.

The sudden drop from 100% to 97% is normal for a 6 month old battery with probably a hundred cycles.

From a lithium ion battery's perspective:
The battery is "happiest" and the least stressed when it is in the 40% range and not being used. Every % point above that increases the voltage which puts more stress on the battery.

From a user's perspective:
The user is "happiest" and the least stressed when the battery is fully charged. Every % point below that decreases the voltage which puts more stress on the user.

Now it's up to the user to decide who owns who.

At this point you already know that what you’re doing isn’t helping the battery. Now all you need to do is to start using your devices like most normal people do and stop being concerned about battery all the time.
