Iphone big help(may contain stupid questions)

I have a couple of questions for my iPhone and I know some of them may sound stupid. But here I go:

1. I have att. Does I have to pay to recieve text messages as well?!

2. I found that the 3G iPhone is buggy as hell. When I go to my contacts, it freezes for about 4 seconds and then moves. Does that happen to anyone?

EDIT: I saw another threads on the contacts issue. Guess I'm not the only one.

3. The bugginess is also there in applications. When I play music and browse safari, sometimes, it just lags when I open up the keyboard or tap something on the screen. Is that normal? I thought that iPhone multitasks beautifully. Guess not. Also, several of the downloaded applications crash too. I had the AIM app crash on me and I was returned to my home screen. I had the facebook app crash too and I was returned to the home screen. The keyboard on the iphone is slow sometimes. Not all the time but sometimes when I'm listening and browsing the web, when I type fast, the keys are slow to appear.


I'm not exactly 100% happy with my iPhone. It's just been two days with my iPhone and I still like it. Not love it though. Anyone share my disappointments?

well of course there's going to be bugs in v1 of a rebuild of the OS.

Don't be an early adopter if you can't handle bugs.

And **** THAT ****. Why the hell do I have to pay for sms that *I* recieve?
Att has wasted 4 of my sms just by texting me. I mean what the hell. I cannot control what sms get sent to me. That's just wrong.

Oh and about question 4 and 5, I get it and i just combined them together into 3. They were kinda more of an explanation than a question so there.

if you would have just searched for these issues as well as the texting question (or could also just go to the att site and look at plans) you wouldn't have cluttered up the forums with this nonsense.

Ok I get this point of yours. So I'm sorry. But I wanted to make sure anyways because I heard people talking about Bell and Telco charging for incoming texts and my accout is new so they dont have information about how much texts I received or sent.

But I don't get this. I know what the right speaker grill is called. It's called a mic. I'm not that of a noobie.

Most of the problems you've mentioned are being experienced by a lot of people, so you're not alone. A future update will hopefully fix most of them.

I don't know about the being charged to receive SMS messages as I'm not an AT&T customer (not in the US).

Personally, I don't find these issues too annoying (maybe I'm a patient man) - besides, I have a slightly more annoying problem with my iPhone.

Yep. Waiting now I guess. I guess it doesn't really bother me but I would prefer it faster. I'm just saying this because i was comparing it to my friends original iPhone and found out my whole UI is slower than his. But as tuffluffjimmy said, because this is v1 of the new OS, you have to give it time. So I guess I will wait. Is 2.0.1 seeded to developers? But knowing apple, they are already working on it I think. So maybe the next month. They have enough issues to deal with right now with the whole MobileMe fiasco.

Not exactly. I had a cell phone but since I'm paying for my own phone this time around, Im getting a bit more information out of it. The earlier times, I didn't used to care.
But its good that att bots are free. That relaxes me.
