Hi,

Last night i was using the installer app dowloading themes and apps to my iphone. Anyways i do this a bit, one night it froze loading the borat sound pack (lol) and i had to do a hard reboot (holding down sleep and home) anyways I loaded a theme pack and the phone froze it goes to home screen and does nothing but keep trying to refresh i cant use any icons! I have tried to get the phone into recovery mode but i honestly dont know where to go from here and would like some type of advice. I unlocked the phone myself so i do have a decent understanding of what things to do. I have tried to get into recovery mode (holding sleep and home for 30s+) but it keeps rebooting and i read on here to hold home and sleep till it reboots and let go of sleep and keep holding home. It went into recovery mode but i got an error when i tried to hold shift and recover with my old firmware, and seems now it wont even go into recovery mode using that method. Thanks for any help in advance!

just plug it in and restore it unless you cant because it keeps rebooting and going to apple is out of the question and when it reboots by pressing the sleep/wake and home button until the screen goes black let go of the sleep/wake button and it should enter recovery mode

Ok first of all thanks for your reply. At the moment the phone is off, when i hold sleep and home it like reboots goes to apple and then will reboot and go to apple again. If i keep held will boot up and stay frozen keep refreshing home screen like i said in last post. If phone is off and i hold sleep and home when it reboots and is black i keep home held down and let go of sleep. and it does not turn back on or if i keep it held till it goes to apple then let go of sleep it does not go into recovery mode. I am real sad here cos i love my phone :( shan.

once the screen goes black keep holding it until itunes see it in recovery mode and it has to be plugged in and if something send it in to a third party reseller and they can restore the iphone go read in maclife or macworld magazine and they have these repair shops everywhere.
