I'm at a hi-tech conference (BlogWorld) when my iPhone's antenna completely bricked (probably because I dropped the day before). I went to an Apple Store and they replaced the phone with a brand new one. iCloud backup restored my settings and such, but I've only been able to restore some of the apps dues to slow wifi, and I had to leave the store for a meeting.
I figured I could complete the restore back at the hotel but the wifi is godawful. I've tried Starbucks with the same result. I have Navigon installed which is roughly 2GB that I need for driving in LA, 3 days later and iCloud still can't finish restoring it.
I can't believe wifi is my only option. Is there no way to restore these apps via ethernet instead? I sync my iPhone with my desktop not my MacBook, otherwise I would have tried that instead.
