Iphone Bug

I have an iphone ver 1.1.2 which I recently unlocked but whenever I try to make a call or go to view my sms it crashes and goes back to the main menu!! and it detects my sim card and I also have full reception on the phone. Besides this the phone works fine like safari, music etc. Can anyone please help me out?!

I think this may be your problem, you are not in one of the 5 countries the iPhone has been released, and the springboard will crash non stop, whilst the rest of the ipod works fine.

my iphone crashed!

hello...i bought my iphone in hkk 3 months ago...it's 1.1.1 version and unlocked.i remember last month that i accidentally upload it to 1.1.3.and this past few weeks, it just turned off sometimes and 3 days ago it went totally off and everytime i turn it on, from screen, all i can see is the icon of the iphone's cable and an arrow pointing to the itunes icon.i tried to connect it to my computer and itunes sez that my iphone was found in a recovery mode and that i have to restore it, but i'm scared that it might not work because i will totally lose all my contacts and my installer in my iphone....please tell me what to do.i can't unzip the ibrick either...my friend sez that's the only software who cured his iphone....PLEASE HELP ME!

why cant you unzip it?
anyway, dont you have all your contacts backed up on the pc/mac you sync it with??
if not, try ibrickr. if that fails, youve lost all contacts and have to restore and unlock using ziphone

i'm not really good about computers but im trying to find out and just keep on reading what to do...i really don't know how to unzip ibrickr v0.91...if anybody here who is patient enough to teach me patiently, i would appreciate it...i don't wanna upload my v1.1.1 to 1.1.2 i just want my iphone to work as it was before...i don't even know where to find my back up, but yes i synced it.

Thanks for your reply, I tried to download iworld several times from tweaks 1.1.2 but it gives me an error "Package download failed!" although my safari works fine and I can browse the net but it doesnt let me download this file from the installer. What do you think I should do?... Thanks again for your help

and I also tried updating the phone it was updating but it stopped in between with an error message "Main script execution failed!" so im basically stuck pls help.... Thanks a lot

Can you install ANY Application ?

I had the same problem and it turned out my phone wasnt jailbroken.

Try installing a few apps. If you can install, reply and I will take it from there.

I have a similar issue also where i can browse etc and also cannot download iworld (Packet download failed)...... i just realised that i cant install other apps either now..... i did go through the jailbrake and unlock procedure..... any ideas what i need to do?

Hi I am new to this forum, I have a iphone , which i got in unlocked from a guy , but when i insert my sim , and go to dial mode , after pressing one digit my phone goes to home screen , then he told me to install iworld , but when i try installing , it says error package download failed, and then i tried installing more things , but i get the same error for all the packages , .. can some one help me here ,, i am desperate....

Hi guys ,.. after lots of research , i solved that installing problem .. all you need to do is reinstall your installer and everything will start installing , even your iworld , if you are using your phone not in the set 5 countries ..
