I noticed today that one of my external speakers is much louder than the other. When I am playing a song or even from the phone ring this occurs. When I cover one of the speakers with my finger I can barely hear the other speaker. No headphone problem. I have tried restoring to no avail. Any thoughts or suggestions?

We sooooo need to sticky this one! LOL As shown in the video, manual and specs - one is a speaker, other is a mic.

I just got my iphone today, and pondered upon the same thing! I almost took it back claiming that it was broken. But then I stumbled upon forums and came across the diagram that reveals that one speaker isn't a speaker at all. So THAT'S where they hide the mic. Wow.
