I find that if I press the number quickly (but normally) the number wouldn't appear, this happens the most often for the number 1, and when it is the first digit of the number, does anyone also notice this? e.g. I open the calculator and then press 1988 it will quite often appear 988 only or even 2988.
Now I almost always have to press all the digit slowly, but this doesn't happen to my other non-Apple mobile phones

No issues here on iPhone 13 Plus, iOS 15.3 dev beta

Sounds like a digitizer problem. Do you have a screen protector?

Model and iOS version might be helpful.

What you could be encountering is the touch registration know issue in iOS 15.
