It appears you are correct. I took my best attempt after a search, but glad to know now that this is more widely available.
In fact, due to the encryption, cellular calls are probably more secure than analog landline calls, which aren't encrypted.
wireless phones normally don't use encryption, land line wireless phones (wow thats a pretty big oxymoron)
You could devise you're own language or say learn klingon and even if you weren't encrypted they'd have a hard time understanding you.
