Hi Guys.

I have been making calls using my iMac 5k, using the "call on other devices" feature on the iPhone.
Works flawlessly and i love it, except one thing.

I have been told the recipient of the call can hear an echo of themselves.
I presume this is because the iMac speakers are repeating with a slight delay (understandable).

Is there a way to fix this? It does not happen over Facetime.

Thanks!

I've had the same issue with the non-retina iMac. There doesn't seem to be a way to fix it, so I just stopped using it.

yeaaaa... thats a great temporary fix. Shouldnt it be pretty easy to fix considering they do it with facetime?

I have this issue all the time, even on Facetime calls.
I think the iMac (mine is a Late 2013 27'') noise cancelling works very poorly to be honest.

I've only done this once or twice, but I do think there was an echo where people complained. I'm not sure, but the next time I take a call on my iMac, I'll be sure to ask about the call quality.
