I have 2500 photos in iPhoto but iTunes/iPhone only thinks I have about 287 and they all seem to be photos I've uploaded in 2008 (but not necessarily taken in 2008 - like the album 'Xmas 2007' where all the photos were from late december, but loaded onto my PB in 2008).

iPhoto is working fine, by the way, they're all there and happy. It's iTunes that doesn't seem to be 'seeing' them.

Any ideas? It's driving me round the bend. My Mac is becoming more and more like a PC - doing these random things which seem inexplicable.

Here's an update:

I've now got it to work by dragging the folder "iPhoto Library" from my external drive back onto my PowerBook's internal drive. iTunes now recognises all the photos again. Copy it back onto the external drive, reopen iPhoto and choose the library on the external drive - iTunes only recognises photos from 2008.

I've solved my problem, but anyone have any idea why it does this??

I am having this same problem but my iPhoto library has always been on my iMac. I just imported some new photo albums yesterday but itunes cannot see them to sync to my iphone. What's going on?
